Ministerial Staff

Steve Archibald, ElderSteve Archibald, Elder
Steve accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 16. Steve and his wife, Corinne, were married in 1975 and have three grown children, Lisa and her husband Dan, Mark, and Dana. Lisa and Dan have two sons, Isaiah and Elijah. Steve is a plumber and works together with two of his children in a family business. In addition, he is employed by the State of Massachusetts as a plumber. Steve has served as a deacon and with several other ministries. Together with his wife Corinne, he hosted cell groups and has mentored young couples. Steve is seeking God's direction in developing and encouraging the caring teams at Christ Community Church. Steve delights in being a grandfather and time spent with his family. Although his spare time is minimal, golf is his sport of choice at this stage of life.

Chuck Hambly, ElderChuck Hambly, Elder
Chuck and Linda were married in1969. They have raised six children; five sons and one daughter. Their youngest son died in a tragic car accident in June of 2001. Chuck accepted the Lord as his savior in 1968 while attending Olivet Memorial Church. It was here that he also became actively involved in the Christian Service Brigade. He grew in the love of Christ through training and ministering to others. He chaperoned numerous winter and summer camping trips with the youth. Chuck was one of the first members of Christ Community Church when he and two other families began meeting and taking turns preaching. They grew and became Faith Chapel and eventually Christ Community Church. Today, Chuck considers it an honor and privilege to be an elder at Christ Community Church. He is retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Unemployment. He and Linda have six granddaughters and four grandsons. He cherishes each day that he cares for his youngest grandson. Being a father and grandfather are the best jobs he has ever had!

Dave Horrocks, ElderDavid Horrocks, Elder
Dave was blessed to have been raised in a Christian family. He has known the Lord as his savior from very early in life. He was born in Fall River, grew up in Dighton, and now lives in Bridgewater with his wife, Christine. Dave and Chris were married in 1976 and have three sons, Christopher, Kevin, and Eric, (all of whom have left the nest). Dave and his family began attending Christ Community Church in 1986, and have fond memories of holding church services at the “Turkey Farm”. Dave became an elder in 1996. Dave inherited his love for music from his father, Ken, who also attends CCC. Dave is presently the Facilities Manager for the Foxboro company where he has worked since 1981.

Dan Leonard. ElderDan Leonard, Elder, Co-Chairman
Dan became a Christian at the age of 22 while attending First Congregational Church in Middleboro where he has lived all of his life. He graduated from Johnson & Wales College and is a store manager for Shaw's Supermarkets. Dan and his wife Andrea were married in 1984 and and have two children Sarah and Emily.

Dan has been involved in many ministries at the church such as softball, men's retreats, S.O.S., Cell Groups, Youth Group chaperone, and church cleaning. He most recently has the privilege of being co-chairman of the Elder's Board. Dan has a desire to see Christ Community Church be a part of a family missions trip in the near future. In his spare time Dan enjoys watching his daughters play sports and enjoys hiking and vacationing with his family.

Tom Mello, ElderTom Mello, Elder
Tom Mello lives in Norton with his wife Patty and two daughters, Courtney and Holly. They have been married since 1985. Both daughters have accepted Christ as Lord of their lives. He accepted Christ in early 1995 along with his wife. Tom has attended Christ Community Church since 1994 and had the opportunity along with Patty to baptize their two daughters at different times. Tom grew up in a second generation Portuguese extended family in New Bedford. Tom has been employed at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston since 1983. He has an undergraduate degree from Framingham State College where he met his wife Patty as well as an MBA from U-Mass Boston.

One of Tom's most memorable experiences was when he attended the Promise Keeper's “Stand in the Gap” conference in Washington DC in 1987. Tom and Patty work together in ministry in the area of Christian education as they are passionate about God's Word and teaching it to others. He enjoys serving in the church in any capacity and you will often see him directing traffic and trying to arrange all the seats. If you see a man wearing a traditional Western Cowboy Hat in the Taunton area, take a second look, it may be Tom. In his free time, Tom enjoys taking care of his yard, spending time with his girls and has taken a recent interest in the PBR (Professional Bull Riders).

Tiger Zakarian, ElderRay “Tiger” Zakarian, Elder, Co-Chairman

Tiger lives in Lakeville with his wife Mary.  They were married in 1983 and have three children, Mike, Molly and Jacob.

The Zakarians have attended Christ Community Church since 1993.  During that time Tiger has seen many wonderful things happen. He has seen the Lord do many things here at Christ Community Church where God continues to bless and challenge our church. Tiger has been active in the Men's Ministry, SOS, Cell Groups, Men's Small Groups, and Bible Studies. His favorite events though have been the Men's Retreats because of the opportunity to get to know the men of CCC and to learn more about himself, and what God has planned for him.

Tiger was fortunate enough to go on a missions trip to Ukraine, where he spent time working with children in an orphanage.  It was a life changing event and he would encourage everyone to do at least one mission trip.  It will forever change your life.
