About Christ Community Church

Christ Community Church is made up of people from a variety of denominational backgrounds as well as those with no church background. Our church is the result of a merger between Christ Community Church and the East Taunton Congregational Church in the Fall of 1984, the original church at this location.

Fellowship and ministry opportunity in this church is based solely on personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and trusting Him alone for salvation. We welcome everyone who is interested in knowing more about Christianity, regardless of their religious background to meet with us.

Membership in our church requires commitment to sound doctrine as summarized in the "We Believe" section of this site. A person is not excluded from membership because they do not see eye-to-eye on every fine point of doctrine. Within our church there is allowance for legitimate differences of understanding in some areas of doctrine, However, there must be agreement and commitment of all essentials of faith.

It is our desire to preserve the individual's freedom in Christ, but wishes its people to be responsible, godly men, women, and young people who want to live in obedience to the principles and precepts of God's word. Sound Christian doctrine must be coupled with dynamic Christian experience.
