Prayer is a very important part of our heritage at Christ Community Church. We believe that prayer is essential to a strong and vital relationship with God. The Bible teaches “that the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective”. James 5:16b We should pray without ceasing when our hearts are heavy with the cares and concerns of this life. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” We should pray and praise God when our hearts are light. “We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.” Psalm 20:5 Prayer is a way to talk to God and have His peace reign in our hearts. |
